Just Downloaded Google Talk

Categories: Feedback, Web ToolsPosted on August 17th, 2006

I just downloaded Google Talk, and will be experimenting with, and will write my findings here on this post. The product team has announced the new version. I like how different product teams have blogs at Google –makes for a real human like experience.

I was forced to redownload Google Talk, as I had a hard drive reformat.

  • Download went well
  • Initial observations, not sure what features are so mind blowing amazing?
  • File transfer and voice messages are added, isn’t this standard with many IM clients already?

Hiya web folks, as the title says, I’m searching for a ticketing system that will help with web management, some of the features would be:

1) Allow requestors to submit requests via a web form
2) Allow an email to fire off to requestors once the task has been accepted and confirmed

3) Allow an email to fire off to requestors when there is a status change (such as progression or potentially missed date)

4) Allow an email to fire off to a requestor when a web section is realy to be QA’d

5) A dashboard for the task team and requestors to see all open tickets

6) Reporting tools

This can be a hosted tool, or a downloadable application, and either free or a subscription type model, anyone info will be appreciated.  We’ve looked at basecamp, but it looks like it’s better suited for project management and I don’t believe it has a ticketing system like this.
