Ricky Cadden and I are now a part of the S60 Online Marketing Team. More information here: http://blogs.s60.com/consumed/2008/03/update_on_the_help_wanted_entr.html

In a nutshell: S60 is the platform that runs on Nokia's Nseries, Eseries and various devices. Applications such as QiK are S60 applications. We created something called the "S60 Ambassador Program" which is essentially people telling us about their word of mouth encounters with friends and family. The best story is collated every week, called "The Report of the Week" and that person gets one of the latest S60 devices to trial for 2 months. On the backend we also count how many reports everyone submits and at the end of a certain campaign, usually lasts a couple of months, the person who submits the most reports also gets one of the latest S60 devices and the runners up get accessories.

In the beginning there was a lot of controversy whether or not Nokia should hire bloggers who have been writing about them, but in the end everyone is realizing that Ricky and I have been a part of the community for a long time so the level of trust, friendliness and familiarity helped remarkably.

Our official titles are "Communications Specialists," which sounds boring, but these past few months have been anything but.

I was just promoted to Executive Director of the Caring for China Center.

Before that I was volunteering part time. Taking a look at the site, I have my work cut out, but I am excited to be a part of this very important movement.

I am IT graduate from Edinboro Univ., and I read your blog quite often - and now I have deeper understanding of how social media can be used in business environment. I am mostly interested in marketing aspects of social media and its future trend.
