I think it's very important to look at an engagement strategy for Facebook, YouTube or any other community. It's way too easy and often that you get in a brainstorm and some shouts, let's facebook or why aren't we YouTube'ing.

Taking a holistic approach to connecting all web properties together and the ability to promote each entity while still pushing content is something we're still looking to tackle.

How does one get a sponsored page on facebook?
The options they sent were fliers. But I need to get one done similar to Target.

What is so game changing about this? All this slide deck talks about is that you need to have a strategy for Facebook.

Consultants have been selling strategy for various initiatives for decades. Duh.

CRM. You need a strategy for that.
ERP. You need a strategy for that.
SCM. You need a strategy for that.

See a pattern? What is funny is that Web20 crowd jump on this like this is the best thing since sliced bread. Egad.

Wow, this is great. I'm madly preparing a keynote and full day workshops for nonprofits for Friday in Portland - on developing strategy, metrics, measurement -- small group work. I have a range of backgrounds/experience - so I have to start from the beginning and set context -- (explaining why social media is important in the context of telling the story of the wizard of oz)
