Here's a pic of googly colored room. Notice the "vulture row" in balcony. I think they are googlers http://twitpic.com/1296hq 15 mins ago

Is Social Media changing the Analyst Industry?

Categories: Social Media, Web IndustryPosted on November 12th, 2007

Interesting interview by James Governor (blogger and video blogging analysis) of Redmonk on the PodTech network (my former employer), he interviews Jerrilyn Glanville, a veteran of IBM Analyst Relations who suggests that social media (blogging specifically) is impacting the analyst industry. Anyone in the analyst industry is aware of these changes, and would get some interesting perspectives by watching this interesting interview. This whole discussion is very meta for me, I’m a blogger turned analyst, who’s covering the social computing (what we call social media) industry, which includes companies that provide blogging software and services.

Social media (and the web in general) reduces friction in communication, so anywhere there was information in one location, it’s been easily distributed and found. I hope you noticed that I’m still part of the conversation, help people, and continue to post and share my knowledge.
