I agree that at first glance Twitter seemed like a teenage crazed thing. It’s all making sense now though and it’s all about connections…this social media thing is here to stay!

Laura and started with twitter about the same time, “met” through our interaction there and immediately hit it off. So how can anybody even say that?

Because twitter has an amazing ability to serve up tidbits that are easily munchable while making it easy to pass up those that are not of interest. But unlike connections people often feel at other events, twitter, when used well, facilitates a continuing stream of short interactions.

When we’re not twittering, blogging or working with clients? We’ve been known to play facebook scrabble. For people who need to connect to network and help our businesses grow, anything that helps that happen is a good thing.

Yes I like Twitter. At first glance it seemed like some mad teenage thing. Once I got my head round the fact that there are some people I like to be connected to because I found what the twittered interesting I then understood it. I tune in now and again and find some more people and connect.

Laura’s path and use of Twitter is almost identical to mine. It really has opened up opportunities for me and connected me with a LOT people I doubt I would have been able to get to know otherwise. One key is to not be afraid to follow people you find interesting. Most of them will follow you back. Once that connection is made conversation is easy.

I don’t think there was any “hate” expressed for Twitter at all. She called it “stupid”, for how it starts out (seemingly useless). But once you educate your Twitter and start making connections with people that interest you it becomes very valuable.

I don’t think Laura “hates” it in ANY way.
