@chris2x I'd reframe that. Apple's strategy is to sell lots of media that is used on the iPad. in reply to chris2x 3 hrs ago

Community important at Zazzle

Categories: Community MarketingPosted on August 1st, 2007

My new friends invited me over to Zazzle, where they’ve recently moved into a very large and modern office park in Redwood City, not too far from work. They’re passionate about community, which is key as their website let’s users upload and create designs and either have them manufactured or sell them as an affiliate type program.

Every company needs a community strategy, even if you’re not a web company. Why? Because your prospects, customers, and partners likely use the web to communicate to each other. I often tell folks that community is another term for marketplace.

What’s cool about Zazzle? they’ve got some interesting products that you can customize (see long tail does matter) as everyone in the world can build products that suit their specific need, style, and desire, the web is that enabler. Want to know more? They’ve got a blog, forums, and their website can help you customize a shirt

I’m thinking about starting a ‘blogger tshirt’ program, so we can take these funny pictures of Marc Canter, Robert Scoble, Shel, Chris Pirillo, and make T-shirts for Christmas, would be funny.
