"Web Marketing is not limited to your corporate site and google results only."

A very interesting assetion and one that seems to be taking its time to get through to minds in Europe. Just check out conference and seminar agendas where a great deal of the focus seems to be on the navel gazing of your own websites and Google rankings. I work in the area of monitoring and extracting intelligence from consumer generated media (www.asomo.net), trying to convince folks (mainly in Europe) of the insight they can gain and the influence they can exert through social media (forums are very important for this). It's an uphill battle not least because the intelligence applications crosses several functions - PR, marketing, customer relations, product development. And with thinking, and more importantly budgets, hunkered down in these silos, we often need to get buy in from all concerned. Well done for spreading the word, though.

Thanks Marshall, I'm sure there's a ton of tools that can do this type of thing, but this one sounds like it's a very good match.

Hi Jeremiah,

Don't know if you've seen it yet, but Jive Software has a platform called Clearspace that does exactly what you described. It's a well integrated roll-up of blogs, wikis, and forums that tracks and rewards participation. Cool stuff.
