Jeremiah Owyang discusses how web tools and social media enable companies to connect with customers

24/7 Video Blogging Justin TV now live

Justin emailed me to let me know his video blog live stream is now live. I video interviewed him a few weeks ago. Justin TV is unique as he has a camera attached to his hat, and he cruises around the bay area visiting different businesses, events, and people.

This very minute, he’s visiting businesses in San Francisco, I can see what their store looks like, their products and their friendly employees.

I don’t know how the business model works for sure, but I can bet many folks would be interested in having him attend their store or event. We’ll see what happens, good luck Justin TV and folks.

So what’s the difference between 24/7 video blogging and what many call a live webcam? The fact that he was transmiting live from a moving car was pretty neat. I have to admit it was kind of interesting to check out, though I was getting a bigger kick out of the messages going on below from visitors. I have to ask: is Justin single?

The video can go anywhere and broadcast live, which is one of the coolest parts about Justin.tv. We put the chat room on the site to encourage interactivity.

    And I’m single.

I can imagine lots of opportunities for Justin and crew to visit businesses and events, that is what is the ‘higher purpose’ than just a “cam on a head”

It helps others share in remote events.

This is just the start, others will appear
