Jeremiah Owyang discusses how web tools and social media enable companies to connect with customers

What was BlogHaus? Don’t ask me!

People both that are bloggers and non-bloggers have been asking me about the recent BlogHaus event that PodTech put on with our sponsor Seagate. Rather than me tell them about it, I’ve put this list together of folks that wrote about it or shared it. I’ve organized it by posts, pics, and videos. I guess in some way, this is like a Customer Reference? Some of these links Scoble collected too, Enjoy!

Vital Info
A PodTech event, this first one sponsored by Seagate, Microsoft, and AMD, in Jan 2007 Consumer Electronics show. Estimated 600-800 Social media and Mainstream press came. 120 straight hours at Bellagio Suite, Las Vegas.

This is an awesome directory to the coverage out of the event, which I hope to make next year at CES. We won’t probably see that level of activity around our Social Media Clubhouse which starts tomorrow night (also in Vegas, what is it about that town?), but hopefully can benefit from the sort of collaborative vibe you all had with Bloghaus.

When I was in Phoenix with Robert last week, he was mentioning how so many other similar events were happening at the same time, with similar concepts, but none of them really became the ‘it’ event that Bloghaus was. I think Robert was one of the big draws, as was the convenience of the location and the existing social network you all have together as a company. Is there something in particular that you think made Bloghaus so special, so cool and so valuable?

Chris, Your event this weekend looks amazing, I won’t be able to attend, but do look for colleague Jennifer Jones.

great post and amazing how much content came out of the BlogHaus. It was a historic event….

    4. […] Companies that measure brand in social media: Blogs, Forums, Podcasts, in addition to traditional and mainstream media. This is important, as we’ll be able to see who will be the leader here, there are free tools for quick ’snapshot reporting’ but it’s no where the level of detail that we’ll need for sophisticated measurement. Check out all my posts tagged “social media measurement‘. This topic is important to me, as it’s important to my clients. BlogHaus “Clip Report” Although recently published, this list continues to grow. […]

    5. […] Have you seen my “clip report” of all mentions, blogs, podcasts, images, and videos of Bloghaus? Quite a bit of data was created during the event, resulting in the impacts on the study. […]

    6. […] Measuring Success I was asked many times “what was Bloghaus, what was it like?” so I put together this comprehensive list took me a few days to compile of all the mentions of BlogHaus. We did some measuring by the way, and we saw a direct jump of the term Bloghaus as well as the event sponsor Seagate. If success was measured on instances only then easy ROI, in my opinion. […]

    7. […] The press room of the future I forgot to share the future newsroom, where PodTech hosted BlogHaus at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas for 120+ hours straight at a suite in the Bellagio. Here we accepted bloggers, pocasters and videobloggers as the new journalists. It wasn’t exclusive however, we embraced mainstream journalists in addition. This video is a good sample of this event, the output, just staggering, see my clip report. What is PodTech? It’s a network of video bloggers, (some are former journalists) we’re an example of this new media generation, we break news, be interesting, or add value. […]
