Categories: EventsPosted on March 5th, 2007

Blogosphere replicates with Maryam 1.0 and Robert 1.0 Blogger Mashup

HALF MOON BAY, Calif., March 5, 2007 – Scoble Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOB) announced today that the successful merger between Maryam Inc. and Robert Inc. have agreed to share data through and open API and merge for a second generation hybrid product. Parent company PodTech Inc., Director of Corporate Media Strategy, Jeremiah Owyang responds with the following: “…The (Technology) community rallies behind this recent merger and looks forward to continued success at both parties…” end quote.

Spokespersons from the Pickels and Ice cream industry quote: “Maryam 1.0 has been in stealth mode during the last 3 months for final QA testing”. During this process Robert 1.0 will be based at headquarters for a minimum period of six months post-launch activity. Wordpress and Twitter system admins are planning vacations during that time. The product release and announcement will take place at Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA. Additional information available at Stanford Another University Startup coming September 2007.

Jokes aside, a big congrats to you both! I’ll be at SXSW this weekend, I’ll be hunting for Video Bloggers to introduce to the Vloggies booth folks!

  • LOL! Yeah but that post-launch beta phase can be really messy with a lot of sleepless nights working on temperamental new releases.
  • Great "blogger mashup" announcement. I hope to be able to offer my congratulations in person during SXSW. But is the world ready for Scoble 2.0???
  • Loved the PR spin! :) One of the more inventive posts circulating out there on the blogosphere, buddy. Nice.

I also just saw Scoble questioning TechMeme's algorithm picking his startup post LOL.

Either way, congrats to the Scobles 1.0 and a warm welcome to Scoble 2.0.

  • nice

my flavor of humor and wit there
  • I loved it! Is this an example of a social media press release? Heheh.
  • SMPR? We need more metadata...
  • Jeremiah - Forget the podcast stuff .. I hear SNL is looking for writers! By the way, will you be drafting the launch release too ;-)
  • Okay so your child is a mashup but what license are we releasing it under ?

I loved this post for making me laugh out loud in a way the LoL doesnt express.
  • *chuckle* I likee very much, lets hope the Scoble/Maryam parent companies don't get sued for patent infringements eh?! be a shame to see 2 generations of Scoble at odds over a little copied code ;0)
  • Love it :)
  • Good to know that the press release is not yet considered a completely obsolete tool by the vanguard of newer media. But what tools will Milan's generation prefer? (For now, I guess they're not completey mired in the distant past of the Town Crier, they also spend a fair amount of time googling and gurgling. But when they grow up... then what?)
  • Great "press release" but you forgot to mention the new merger project name: Milan William Scoble, Inc.

Congratulations to Robert, Maryam, and Patrick.
