Jeremiah Owyang discusses how web tools and social media enable companies to connect with customers

Audience on Stage + Dance Moves + Video Effects + Social Media = Intel Droppin it like it’s Hot

A few days ago, I gave some strategies on how to Web Strategy: Overlaying Social Media for your Corporate Events.

I applaud companies that let customers get up on stage and be part of the story telling process, here’s a case study, excellently done by Intel (a PodTech client) that let’s the audience create new media uploaded to a vial video network and shared among their community. (and here’s me telling you about it)

If you’re reading this in a feedreader the video can be seen here on the PodTech site. You can see over 200 videos created by attendees on YouTube.

Yes, that was Michael Johnson of PodTech showing us his moves, I was too chicken to get up on stage, see the full version on YouTube.

Amazing how much of this kind of stuff is going on now. At an event in vegas this week for Nortel world at the MGM in Vegas one thing they are doing, which is kinda cool is people (1000) are encouraged to do videos with their phones and post them on You Tube. The talent/host goes to an onstage computer and plays back various clips on a whim. Kinda fun!
