Silicon Valley Sightings: Early Generations of the Mouse

This is one of the earliest versions of the mouse, which was prototyped by Logitech. I visited the Computer History Museum with CTO Hu Yoshida. I learned recently that Valerie Smith my friend at HGST was so kind to give us her ticket to the 50th anniv party of the Hard Drive, thanks Valerie!
This mouse almost looks like a joint on a Stormtrooper costume.
The original mouse was invented by Douglas Engelbart, who was also on a team to bring us hypertext.
