Dinner at the Admirals Club

Categories: Community Marketing, Social MediaPosted on November 10th, 2006

Hitachi Data Systems Blogger David has offered me dinner at the Admirals Club of my choice!  I’m pretty sure I’ll be travelling some in this new role, this will be a great way to unwind.

David is a case study of business blogging success, he’s focuses on a very tight niche, and really owns it as the thought leader in Data Storage Economics.  He teaches classes, consults customers and helps them define ROI and TCO measurements for their deployment of data storage –something very important to upper management.   He publishes frequently and with great zeal.

One of the things I learned to determine who would be a corporate blogger was to let those that were interested to submit text to me once a week for about a month.  This was to determine two things: 1) Writing ability  2) Evaluation of the amount of time needed.  After a few submissions by week two David was asking me “So when do I get my blog?”

Thanks David, I’ll see in blogland!
