Bullet Train Video Tour

I’m amazed at how technologically advanced and efficient that Japan is. I’m on board a bullet train going way over 100 MPH headed to Kyoto, it’s very very quiet. When other trains pass by, you can feel the sheer wind force, the trains slightly rock back and forth.I’ll show you some of the facilities. Star Trek like automatic doors, everything is recycled. Many folks enjoy meals on board the train, it’s an great opportunity to relax, catch up on some work, or just recline and kick back.
Did you know that Hitachi makes bullet trains? (I’m not sure if I was on one) Escalators, tractors, chips, servers, data storage, camcorders, nuclear powerplants too, I see a lot of Hitachi products and signs everywhere in Japan, it’s a huge company. Did ya know there are about 300,000 employees globally? Google sports a mere 10k and Microsoft 100k ish. GE is the United States largest company with about the same headcount. As far as I can tell, at Hitachi Data Systems, we were the first to blog in English, I suspect blogging has been native to Japan for a long time however.
And yeah, I’m sportin my Podtech tshirt.

Great video. The train sounded super quiet. Try doing a video tour of Caltrain here on SFO peninsula! Family looks beat. How is it with all the blogging and uploading pics and vids from Asia that you are the only one awake?
Waili, there’s a Starbucks everywhere around the world it seems…
Yes, I’ll let him know.
Brian, I’m glad you liked it~! I’m a web geek, so I’m online all the time.
[…] I was able to travel to Kyoto via bullet train, one of the cities that wasn’t bombed much during WW2, it still retains it’s beauty and history of ancient Japan. Nijo Castle is the former capital of Japan, it was the place of meetings for Shoguns. The floors were designed to ’squeek’ so assasins would always be heard approaching. […]
[…] I guess the video tour of the Bullet Train was well received, here a few more things that you may find interesting. I took a lot of video, but I’m just posting the more technology related videos. Hey, it’s not about web strategy, but I figure if I find it interesting then my audience will too. […]
