Lunch 2.0 Wrapup Video
Video from Holly of the Lunch 2.0 lunch at Zazzle last week Let the video load, you can press pause, then come back and play in one set. If you watch carefully, you can see me stuffing my face.
I like the music, as Shirley and I were into Salsa Dancing (pic) (although we’ve not done it in months) –have you heard of Jumpcut? In browser video editing on the fly, pretty cool. Here’s my notes and pics of the Lunch 2.0 event.
Edit: Bess has created a video as well –its on Google Video. You can hear the Zazzle CEO (I assume) give a short brief on the company. If you watch carefully, you may see a UFO –serious.

Yeah, Jumpcut has some interesting Flash-based procedural editing tools as well as an integration API for plugging their components (and asset mgmt functionality) into commercial/viral sites. The interactive agency I’m with actually looked to leverage them recently for a user-created video site hyping an upcoming next-gen videogame.
I’d love to learn more about what you’ve been doing Cedric, please share when appropriate.
[…] In April, Techcrunch gave strong reviews for Motion Box, (which is not on Phil’s top 10 list) It’s interesting to see how the above list has changed since Nov 2005 from Techcrunch’s industry review. Yesterday we were even talking about the videos that Lunch 2.0 folks uploaded. Techcrunch has given a review on Jumpcut. […]
Hi Jeremiah!
Thanks for linking! Yeah, I looked at Jumpcut, but to be honest, I was just getting used to my mac and couldn’t figure those source files. I’m actually quite hesitant still to do web based editing with film probably because it takes so long to go through and get precious footage to trust the web. (Oftentimes why people write blog posts in a desktop app). UncutVideo actually integrated with VideoEgg and you can also edit online, I think similar to Jumpcut. You can even plug a webcam or camcorder directly. I have yet to try that one also. I’ll let you know when I do.
