Advance copy of the Corporate Blogging Book –Thanks Debbie

Categories: Community Marketing, Web Strategy, Web TheoryPosted on August 10th, 2006

Yesterday someone commented to me at the Lunch 2.0 party that I used to blog about blogging a lot -silly he thinks.

As silly as he thinks it, I don’t. I write about things that are happening to me in my life and in my career. At the time, I was really exploring corporate and business blogging, as that’s what I was doing at my job (and now folks ask me for advice on how to do it).

Now, at Hitachi Data Systems we have several of our key thought leaders blogging at will, (yes the each use typepad, there are no edits or filters, and all on topic comments are posted) authenticity is key to a blog, and I’m willing to fight for it. New hires (and customers) have told me they read these blogs before ever meeting us, and it really helps to progress a conversation.

Recently, Debbie Weil has sent me a copy of her up and coming book The Corporate Blogging Book. Debbie and I have been communicating for a while now, in fact she hosted a panel that I participated on the same subject at New Communications in Palo Alto, I’ve also podcast interviewed her on the PodcastRoundtable. I’m doing to dive into her book as soon as I finish my other reads, and post up some thoughts.

Update: Debbie just emailed me (August 10th) to let me know that her book is now available through Amazon!

Thank you Debbie for the advance copy, and best wishes for this resource to help folks like me at other great companies.
