AOL to offer videos online –Internet and TV announce wedding date

Yesterday it was widely discussed that CNN would be snatching a page out of YouTube’s book as they announced the launch of CNN Exchange, a page on the company’s Web site that will feature user-submitted video, audio and articles. Many think that’s a great way to harness citizen journalism in real time using mobile phones.

Today, AOL has announced that it will release AOL Video (Video on Demand), which looks to be more like a traditional TV channel offering served up over internet –The preview site is here and will launch August 4th. A few days ago, I discussed the future of the marriage of Internet and TV –IPTV –it’s happening all so fast.
