Enterprise Adoption of Web 2.0 –Nascent but Evolving

As one who’s working on his fourth enterprise Intranet, I try to stay in tune to tools that can improve intranets

I recently commented on the use of RSS as the future of Intranet protocols, and now realize this prompts greater discussions of the toolset as a whole on thoughts as web moves into this new movement some call Web 2.0.

We’re already starting to see social networks and social media tools enter the enterprise space –this must be harnessed by internal IT departments, or employees can easily adopt other tools outside of the firewall. Tools like blogs, podcasts, Social sites like facebook, and even collaboration tools like basecamp.

Here’s a collection of some of the thoughts I’ve been reading about this. Not to mention watching how Microsoft will adopt it’s sharepoint to harness these –flexibility will be key here
