Left: Does this photo intrigue you?

Ran across this article from Dave Taylor’s blog on how to select a photo that will capture your audience –it’s apparently backed by research: “Tips For Using People Photos That Get Results”

I searched through Google Images to find this picture –do you think it’s effective? If not, find one that works better and leave a comment and a link.

Here’s the suggestions from the article (read to get more details and understand the reasoning) Please note, I did not make these suggestions up –please do not be offended by the suggestions.

  • A picture of a woman
  • Mid to late 20’s
  • Attractive, though not necessarily sexy
  • Dressed nicely, but not sexy.
  • Smiling lightly, though not a toothy grin
  • Ideally her body should be turned at a bit of an angle to the camera
  • Her eyes should be looking directly into the camera
  • Blond or Redheaded preferred

Very intriguing - What I find so humorous is that picture isn't an advertisement, but it grabs your attention MUCH faster than the advertisement on the far right.
